Impacted perception of conservation: There are many jewels out there that need to be protected that many people don't even know exist, including knowledgeable hikers.

Impacted perception of conservation: I realize that we need to keep working to keep more areas from being developed. Future generations need to have "wild" areas to enjoy andthe wildlife habitats need to be saved.

Most Difficult: East Fork Headwaters; We were so glad to see that myterious telephone pole!
Impacted perception of conservation: The CMLC Hiking Challenge has confirmed for us that we need to be more conscious of our beautiful WNC surroundings and we are both very grateful for the CMLC and what they have achieved in conserving land in Western NC.

Impacted perception of conservation: I used to think conserved properties were all off limits to the public, but now I know that I can enjoy so many of them whenever I want.

Most Difficult: East Fork Headwaters; but come on, none were really difficult!

Notes: Has also completed all four of Carolina Mountain Club's hiking challenges (SB6K, WC100, LTC, P400)--the first person to ever do this; helped build the Bearwallow Mountain Trail.

Favorite Hike: Bearwallow Mountain. It was a refreshing breezy cool evening and I the view was outstanding.
